Help develop great people. Help deliver outstanding care.

📅 2 days per week – ideally Wednesday & Thursday
💷 £26,500 FTE – pro rata for 2 days per week
🕒 Part Time | Permanent
Are you a trainer who can turn learning into confidence, capability and better care?
At Trinity Homecare, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people – and exceptional people deserve exceptional training.
We're looking for an engaging, knowledgeable and hands-on Regional Trainer to join our Learning & Development team, working two days per week, every Wednesday and Thursday.
Based primarily at our Worcester Park location, you'll play an important role in developing the skills, knowledge and confidence of our Care Professionals and colleagues – from their very first day with Trinity through to ongoing development and specialist learning.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to deliver slides.
We want someone who brings learning to life.
Someone who can engage a room, demonstrate practical skills, coach individuals, adapt to different learning styles and make sure people leave training feeling confident and ready to make a difference.
Join an award-winning Learning & Development team
You'll be joining a Learning & Development function recognised nationally for the difference it makes.
Our Training & Development Team was named “Learning Legends Award Winner at the Stars of Social Care Team Awards 2026” recognising Trinity's commitment to continuous learning, professional development and excellence in care.
Training has a genuine impact here.
From induction and mandatory learning through to specialist care and leadership development, we invest in giving our people the skills and confidence they need to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to our Learning & Development Manager, you'll deliver engaging and effective training to new and existing colleagues across Trinity Homecare.
Your role will include:
- Delivering engaging face-to-face, virtual and practical training.
- Leading induction and onboarding programmes for new colleagues.
- Delivering statutory, mandatory and role-specific training.
- Creating an engaging learning environment where people feel comfortable participating, practising and asking questions.
- Demonstrating and assessing practical care skills.
- Coaching learners who may need additional support or confidence.
- Adapting your delivery to different learning styles, experience levels and backgrounds.
- Working with operational managers to identify skills gaps and emerging learning requirements.
- Supporting learning around more complex and specialist care needs.
- Developing and updating training materials, presentations and learning resources.
- Supporting digital and e-learning content where appropriate.
- Evaluating training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments and performance information.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records.
- Supporting compliance with CQC expectations, legislation, best practice and Trinity Homecare policies.
- Working collaboratively with Operations, Recruitment, HR and other colleagues to create a positive employee journey.
- Supporting a culture where learning doesn't end when induction finishes.
Ultimately, you'll help ensure our people have the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to provide exceptional care.
Your working pattern
This is a permanent, two-day-per-week position, working: Wednesday & Thursday & your main base will be our Worcester Park location:
Trinity Homecare
Central House
1–15 Central Road
Worcester Park
Surrey
KT4 8EG
Our Worcester Park service is rated Outstanding by the CQC and forms an important part of Trinity's wider network of homecare services.
While Worcester Park will be your primary location, this is a Regional Trainer position, so you'll also travel to other Trinity Homecare branch locations when training or operational requirements call for it.
Occasional overnight stays may therefore be required, with approved accommodation provided where appropriate.
Who are we looking for?
First and foremost, we're looking for someone who loves developing people, ideally with previous experience within healthcare, homecare or adult social care would be a real advantage, as would experience creating digital learning content or designing training programmes.
You'll be confident standing in front of a group, but equally comfortable working one-to-one with someone who needs additional coaching or reassurance.
You'll know that great training isn't about reading from a presentation – it's about creating an environment where people participate, practise, question and learn.
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent qualification.
- Around three years' experience within training, Learning & Development or a comparable role.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering both face-to-face and virtual learning.
- Confidence delivering practical skills-based training.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- The ability to engage learners with different levels of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
- The ability to assess learning and identify opportunities for improvement.
- A proactive and improvement-focused approach.
- An inclusive approach to learning and working with diverse teams.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel to other Trinity locations when required.
You'll thrive here if you're...
- Engaging – you know how to capture people's attention and make learning memorable.
- Practical – you can turn theory into skills people can confidently use in the real world.
- People-focused – you understand that everyone learns differently.
- Supportive – you're as comfortable coaching one person as you are facilitating a room.
- Curious – you're always looking for ways to make learning better.
- Credible – you build trust with learners, managers and operational teams.
- Passionate about care – you understand that better training ultimately means better experiences and outcomes for the people we support.
